Each spring, the Alzheimer's Resource Center hosts a Caregiver Conference, providing education for caregivers of all skill levels, including both professional caregivers and family caregivers. Continuing education units are available for professional attendees. It is a day-long event held at the Dothan Civic Center. Speakers from all over the United States have presented at this annual event.

The Alzheimer's Resource Center and Wallace Community College are excited to welcome Sandra W. Haymon, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, author, and international speaker pioneering the field of caregiving for more than 20 years. She will speak on topics such as the journey for both family and professional caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, the cost of denial, the emotional journey of caregivers, when it is no longer safe to live alone, saying goodbye, and much more.
